TiltingWall
TiltingWall is a mobile virtual reality (VR) projection setup that allows tilting of the projection screen in order to simulate and test different VR configurations.
Starting point
VR technology is being used more and more for specialized applications as well as in public contexts. However, there are no standard applications or components so far, not to speak of ready-to-use setups.
New developments are therefore often followed by new and very task-specific installations that cause considerable expenses. The aim of the TiltingWall installation is to offer a flexible, inexpensive and yet high-quality test setup suited for a wide variety of use cases.
Project contents
- Conception of a mobile VR setup
- Evaluation of hardware
- Design and construction of the tilting base structure
- 3D interaction
Project goals
Construction of a mobile VR projection setup for lab use as well as for on-site use with possible customers (conferences, construction sites) that supports tilting of the projection screen for the simulation of workbench and wall/floor setups.
