HELIO interface

Interface concept and design for heliophysics data

About HELIO

HELIO is a research Project funded by the European Commission's Seventh Framework Programme (FP7, Project No. 238969) which aims to provide heliophysics data to a broader research community (heliophysics examine interactions between the sun and the solar system). Based on a service-oriented software architecture, the system will provide a central access to data from diverse instruments and detectors, both ground and sky-based, encompassing a broad spectrum of electromagnetic waves as well as particles.

The i4Ds is working on several aspects of this project. The VE-group is designing the user interface which shall help the researcher navigate through this highly complex and heterogenous data space and retrieve the data he was looking for. The interface should also allow and encourage browsing in order to find information that was not intentionally searched for.
