4Record
Starting point
4D CAD models in a Virtual Environment setup are not very easily navigeable for the unexperienced user because one can get lost in the 3D geometry as well as in the temporal animation of a building process. However, a presentation of such a model can add considerably to the understanding of a project when done in an appealing way.
Project contents
4Record was designed to prevent the user from getting lost in the complex multidimensional datasets of 4D CAD models and to offer the possibility to explore 4D CAD models as well as to author a presentation or a review session by allowing recording and controlling of spatiotemporal paths in Virtual Environments (VE).
To reduce confusion in the use of 4Record, main 3D interaction is clearly separated from controlling the temporal sequence and the path tool by using two individual interaction devices for each hand.
