Computer Aided Decision Making
With each building project various specialists from different subject areas get together to plan this project and to push ahead with it. Each specialist documents their results with diverse IT systems and data formats to represent the information of interest to them.
The i4Ds is working on methods, processes and tools tackling project information integration, allowing exchanging information among disciplines and various project phases, achieving a better design of work flows, and improving decision making.
iRoundTable
To this end we have been developing the SW toolbox iRoundTable. It supports distributed meetings, complex presentation scenarios and an optimal decision-making.
The toolbox allows for easy computer interconnection. Mutual editing, distribution and managing of documents become a straight forward process, and so does the organization of a conference.
LAKE (Libraries in Advanced Knowledge Environments)
Video recordings of real or virtual meetings help us to quickly and specifically obtain information. For this reason movies are transcribed, indexed, annotated and subsequently released via a web interface to such an extent that information in films can be searched for and decisions can be based on. We have already used this method for project conferences with interdisciplinary and international teams.
