Welcome to the Institute of 4D-Technologies (i4Ds) in Windisch, Switzerland

We are an interdisciplinary team of approximately 20 specialists in the domains of computer science, civil engineering, process management, architecture , design, mathematics and physics.

We develop innovative software solutions for data intensive problems. We apply our generic solutions to general domains, in particular for the architecture, engineering and construction industry (AEC).

Our main research topics are 4D-Technologies, supported by Information Processing and Optimization, Virtual Environments and Data Spaces.
